Spring into racing
It makes good horse sense to visit Corbould Park (only 20 minutes drive from Maleny Views) if you are a racing fan, or just out to enjoy a great social day, at one of the finest tracks in Australia. And who knows you might even get the early inside running for a Melbourne Cup tip. Trainer of the 2000 cup winner Brew, New Zealander Michael Moroney, is a fan of our track. He also based Victoria Derby winner Monaco Consul in Caloundra during the Caloundra Cup Carnival in July as part of the lead up to this year's Melbourne spring racing carnival. Mr Moroney has over 40 Group One wins to his credit and divides his time between his Flemington stables and a warm mid-year stabling and training base. In fact Mr Moroney loves Caloundra so much he purchased an apartment at the stunning new Monaco complex in Bulcock Beach. He plans to be back next year.
Corbould Park will host a Melbourne Cup meeting on Tuesday, November 2. The Summer of Night Racing begins Friday 12th November to 25th February with 16 consecutive Friday night races. To celebrate the return of night racing, come along on Friday 12th November. Book your reserved seat in a favourites function room with fabulous meal, reserved seat and entry to the course for just $55. After the racing, popular band Romeo's Apprentice will keep the entertainment going.
